A few hours after blocking Starlink, a Russian Telegram bot popped up claiming to provide whitelist codes for Russian soldiers.
The first units that actually tried the bot succeeded and got working codes, and then the bot spread like wildfire.
Hundreds of terminals in the Russian army registered and handed over their details in the hope of getting a link.
After two days, the terminals that received a working link stopped working—not only did the whitelist no longer function, those terminals were added to the blacklist, meaning they wouldn't work at all anymore, no matter the geographic area; they basically turned into useless scrap.
And then the locations that were provided started getting hit by Ukrainian fire all across the front.
Turns out the bot was the work of the Ukrainian military intelligence, and beyond the nice target bank they managed to generate, beyond the permanent disabling of quite a few terminals, they also lured several dozen Ukrainian citizens who reached out to them because they were willing to provide whitelists in exchange for money, to work for Russian intelligence.
A nice incident overall.External Content x.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. ZAPORIZHZHIA IS BURNING AGAIN.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive is no longer a series of localized strikes: it is an operation with clear intent and a defined objective.
Since February 5th —coinciding with the mass disconnection of Starlink terminals in Russian hands and intense artillery punishment— Ukrainian forces have moved from mopping-up actions to a counteroffensive focused on the Hulyaipole / Pokrovs’ke axis.
And the tactical objective seems obvious: to cut off the Russian salient that stretches along the Yanchur river, from the Zlahoda–Verbove line to Pishchane–Andriivka. If they succeed, they don’t just narrow the front: they force Russia either to withdraw or to risk being split in two.
Exactly what we explained yesterday on Frente de Batalla:

It's amazing that US is amassing military assets in the Mideast for long weeks, Iran is watching, and can do nothing about it.
There's virtually no element of surprise, and it doesn't matter.

A few months ago Russians had their commanders sitting in the rear watching drone feeds in real time. With commanders from many battalions across multiple brigades and maybe even divisions all in a room together collaborating. Planning Iskander strikes, airstrikes, etc.
Now…

I never thought I’d see the day this guy said something negative about the situation in Russia. I bet this guy accidentally falls out a window soon.
