Trump New Beginning. Morning in America

  • Wait until the machiavellian leftists begin demanding very high minimum wages at the county levels in the blue shitholes.

US Citizens won't have jobs because corporations will increasingly automate services. The void will be filled by new wave of illegal invaders. The immediate result is causing the underground economy to explode.

I'm not certain I want membership in a club with standards so low as to allow me membership.

  • It used to be my standard line was. "if you're doing a job that a Mexican can do, eventually a Mexican will be doing it"

To that I must add "if you're doing a job at a computer program can do, eventually a computer program will be doing it"

    Americans won't do those jobs!

  • There's a lot of people that paid $100,000 plus for computer science degrees, we're going to get put out of work by AI

They definitely did it wrong. It's a $30k degree, but many of those will be data analysts, system admins, etc. It's the Junior Software Engineer that's being culled... but if there's no juniors, how do you get senior coders?

I think so much of it is a bubble that will burst. It's really no different that saying "Oh, we don't need programmers anymore because we have google. Any fool can look up code examples and cobble it together. Not the case. They told the exact same story back in the late 90s - I know, I was there.

The problem we have now is A LOT of very very very very rich shareholders (think Blackrock) were sold hook, line and sinker on AI replacing 60%-80% of all jobs in the next "3 years". They invested in AI accordingly.

Now, they are panicking, and ordering all the CEOs (who work for them) to drop as many employees as possible and "dammit make it happen!!!!!".

So, there are unprecedented layoffs going on in the IT industry now - but there's nothing to replace the people being lost (and esp not AI). You have companies that layed off all their sales people, then all their technical people - and they're wondering why the cash has stopped coming in. Don't those stupid fuckign customers want powerpoints ? We can do powerpoints dammit!.

There's no pipeline, and no delivery. Now, that makes their books look really good in terms of cutting expenses... for now, but where will they be in three months when there's no AI to fill the gap of the people they got rid of ? These are the same people who ruined so many companies with forced woke bullshit and DEI.

Now, let's say for a minute that AI does deliver, and they do manage to lay off 60%-80% of the workforce. What do you think happens then ? You think an economy can survive that ? So like what, tax working plumbers 1000 and Elevennvey% to feed all the unemployed ? No, that would cause a collapse of the economy and a complete end to government. So facing such an existential economic threat, The People would vote in people who would simply ban AI from doing labor.

The countries that don't take that approach will self destruct.

The more realistic option is to let the bubble burst (and it will says I), and the world goes forward, with another google like tool to make people work more productively. A lot of very large companies are going to fall, and small startups will rise up to replace them.
