I suspect there may be a crew or two from Russia still up there in space, mummified in their space suits, drifting.
That's probably true. Where as the American space program would tell the world what they were going to try before it happened, the Soviet Space Program only told the world what they had done after they had done it.
And before the first man in space, Yuri Bottleofvodka or whatever, an Italian Ham Radio Enthusiast picked up panicked russians dying in space over the airwaves.
