Elon Musk To Quit Politics After Getting Bullied Online
The backlash broke him, and so did the market

Elon Musk is now considering leaving politics altogether due to the backlash he’s received from the left.
According to the Washington Post, Musk is ‘seriously’ contemplating leaving his role in Trump’s government after receiving a “litany of vicious and unethical attacks from the left.”
In other words
It sounds like we’ve successfully bullied the thin-skinned oligarch out of Washington.
Nicely done, guys.
In my view
Musk is probably walking away because Tesla’s sales are plummeting, the stock is tanking, and the company is now facing what analysts are calling a “code-red” moment — both for Tesla and Musk himself.
A Wall Street analyst — described as a Tesla bull — just called on Musk to step down this morning, saying: “Musk needs to leave the government, take a major step back on DOGE, and get back to being CEO of Tesla full-time…”
And then he called out Musk for destroying Tesla’s brand: “Tesla is Musk and Musk is Tesla... and anyone that thinks the brand damage Musk has inflicted is not a real thing... spend some time speaking to car buyers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. You will think differently after those discussions.”
It’s true.
Tesla’s sales have diminished in Europe — and with Trump’s trade war, it’ll only get worse in the States as his cars will become more expensive in order to offset the tariffs.
In short
Tesla’s taking a beating, and it’s all due to Elon’s allegiance with MAGA and corrupt far-right governments across the globe.
Also, the fact that he threw up the Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration probably didn’t help his sales either.
The takeaway
If Musk is leaving politics to salvage his company, then we now know: the only way to defeat these oligarchs is by going after their wallets.
Same goes for Trump
He took yet another wrecking ball to the stock market today, and the U.S. Dollar Index has fallen 9% — reaching its lowest level in three years. (he’s severely weakened the U.S. currency).
Meanwhile, prices for gas, groceries, clothing, used cars, and housing are all up — and I doubt voters are too thrilled about that.
I’ll be honest
I don’t have much faith in the American electorate after 2024. But with how bad things are now — economically speaking — I’m feeling more optimistic about Dems chances in ‘26.
Wrap-up
Musk to leave politics after getting his feelings hurt by the left (+ after destroying Tesla’s sales and setting the brand on fire)Trump oversees another stock market crash todayHe’s failed to bring down prices, and failed to end the war in Ukraine, despite promising to do both of those things in 24 hours when he was campaigning
The way I see it, Trump is setting Republicans up for a midterms bloodbath. And if Musk really does leave Washington, the country will be better off for it.
Here’s to hoping for both. Happy Monday, guys!
