I'm not sure but I'm speculating here.....

They may have cut a hole through the airplane from the toilet so that everything just falls out of the bottom of the airplane. And then when they took off they realized that they cut through some of the flight controls.

Makes sense right ? Maybe they ripped out the Boeing toilets and just cut holes right out the plane for the squat toilet - not realizing they severed some critical fly-by-wire.... wires.
