New Coronavirus Thread....I'M IN LOCK DOWN! (I've never been in lock down.)

  • Hay, you could be right SCREAMMMMMMM. I"m not perfect. I do think he's right about some of the government stuff and the NWO. But he's just too hard for me to watch. I don't need all the anger he displays. It makes me a nasty person and if I only have a short time left I want to be pleasant to the ones around me. I thought he was a Trumpster. Before he basically said that if someone is in office, they are NWO.

  • First, Trump didn't cut anything. If he did, I'm sure that you can provide a link proving it, right? All I found was this.

Second, How? What really would have stopped this is China not trying to hide how bad this is and let Western nations come into China to help.

Third, President Trump wants America to de-couple from China. He doesn't want America to be dependent on a nation that sees us a its number one threat. Or did you miss this little diddy?

    Stay safe Wayne!

My uncle, who is 78, recovered from it. He had double pneumonia and they just sent him home when after hey scanned his lungs and saw the "powered glass" image. He fully recovered in about a week and a half at home.

A nurse in the family said it's best to not go to a hospital - just ride it out at home unless you need a ventilator. The odds of not making it out skyrocket (I think) once you get sedated and placed on a ventilator.

My uncle could hardy breath. Had to sleep sitting up for a few days. He's SUPER healthy though.

  • I'm glad he got through it. Every day the numbers go up here. They say we are not even at the beginning yet. My county doesn't have the tests they need yet. I'm waring my mask and gloves when I go out. There are still few waring masks in the stores still.

The uninsured rate in Texas is 18%. They are not even going to a doctor. They will take Vicks Day Quil and keep going to work. That's why they are saying that Texas is the next big hot spot. Our Governor closed the restaurants but declared the golf courses "necessary". Mary works at a country club that has a golf course and few are practicing "social distancing".

I hope they are learning from this so next time, the next pandemic, we can do better.

If everyone started with masks and gloves on the first of January we would be through it by now.

  • Well....As sands through the hour glass....these are the days of my life.

My county is fairly big. At least as big as Dallas county but without the population. We have 8....I think cases of the virus and one is right down the street from me. She is on my HOA board....I am on our HOA board.....she is on a ventilator in ICU right now. Its been 22 days sense I saw her last so I think I haven't been exposed. I have only gone out to the store when I must and have seen no one else.

Texas is still having trouble social distancing. I expect the state to be worse than NY. Because we were so slow to get started I figure we won't hit the peek till the middle of June. Then the tail end of the curve will last till August.

Stay inside, its too late to do any thing else. Hope there isn't a mutation like the 1918 flu.....there was a second wave about a year in.

    Stay safe everyone...

I'm honestly more worried about the effects of shutting everything down and losing my job than I am about the virus. Everyone is going to get the virus at some point... or most of us anyway, then it will run it's course. There is nothing we can do about it in the short term.

Sure, we need to tale measures. I think we need to wear masks like they all do in Japan. They have a VERY low rate of infection because of that one simple thing. Wear a mask. Everyone. Other than that, go about your business. We can't shut the entire country down over this.

I totally agree. I got 1000 gloves for $17 on ebay. They are the kind fast food workers use. I can go to the store and dump the gloves in the trash on the way out for about 4 cents. With my mask I feel like I'm doing all I can do. We were just not prepared. We could have had the test kit from the WHO early and we could have had an antibody test months ago. That would have stopped the horrible effect this is having on the economy. We were going to have a big recession without Covid. People have died listening to Trump. We need leadership desperately. I don't think Biden is up to it but he would have put an Army general in charge of the Covid effort and things would have gotten done much faster.

We are all going to have to relax and get used to the idea that we are going to swing hard toward socialism. When things get really bad....soup kitchens, hundreds of thousands of people living in tents....they will demand it. National healthcare is coming. Its time to stop fighting about it and just do it. We might as well, the government is covering the cost now and at a premium price.

This pandemic, best case, will be with us for another year. If it mutates like the 1918 virus we may see it going 2 years from now.

I have seen people talk about hyper inflation by December. You think things are bad now. How are we going to cope with loosing 20% of the value of the dollar every year for a decade. I went through that with Carter.

  • The first four and a half minutes of this video should really shock you. Apparently, everyone that dies "with" Covid19 is tallied up as dying "from" Covid19, regardless of what actually kills them.
