Seward's Folly

  • In 1867 Alaska was purchased from the Russian Empire for $7.2 million or $.02 per acre. The purchase was also known as Seward's Folly. We all know how that turned out. So, buying land is nothing new. Of course there's the Louisiana Purchase among many others.


    If Greenland is in the cards so, be it. I'm sure I won't be buying beach front property, paddle boarding, or digging for clams. I think they have Musk Ox though, Hmmm! I wonder if they are tasty.


    If I had to rate this article I would say it's on the 8th grade level, sigh! However, most of you should be able to understand it.
