I'm tired. My bed is wet and it's still raining. My bathroom is leaking too.
It's raining and my bed is wet. Leaks

That is one hot and sexy thread title you got there!!
Man, I logged in and 'jumped on' REAL QUICK.
-
LOL. I didn't think of that.
My bed got rained on. I live in a trailer and water was leaking through a broken roof skylight/vent. I had a big puddle of water at my feet. The vent is right above that area. I was able to divert the leak to the floor and put a towel down for now.

Don't get electrocuted!
For God's sake, don't plug in no sex toys.
-
LOL. Like, what kind of sex toys do you use? They plug into 220?
-
updates....
Howz it goin over there?
How ya making out?
-
I tried to get on my roof but chickened out when I got to the top of the ladder. I couldn't crawl up because it was too scary. So from the inside I put this foil radiant barrier up and then managed to slide some ceramic tile plants over it. It hasn't rained much since but I'm hoping it will hold.
I have a new lid for the vent/skylight - but I'm to afraid to get on the roof.
-
Don't do that shit please.
You'll fall off the roof, then you'll be starting a "I'm in the hospital" thread.
-
lol. I know.
My friend Karen was all ready to jump up there. She's a little monkey and gets on her roof all time. She's gone now. Moved to Michigan - this morning.

The first question is "What kind of roof is it? Shingles or metal." If its shingles most likely you can add another layer of shingles if it doesn't have two already. If it has two then you will have to take the old roof off and replace it. Trailers are small so the cost is in relation to the square feets on the roof. (square feets...a technical term...haha).
IF its metal you can get roof compound in 5 gallon bucks at Home Depot in the $75 range (LA is expensive for everything so I don't know the price there.) and you just put it on with a poll and a roller. That spray stuff in a can is good for a few months if you know where the leak is. I have used the wide tape on other projects with good success. Lasts about a year depending on if its in the sun all day.
-
It's a travel trailer, so I think it's aluminum. Where it's leaking is through the missing vent/skylight thing. You know, the kind that's white translucent plastic and you crank a handle to open it? That rotted away so it's completely gone. I had a new lid but I'm to afraid to get on the roof.
-
You are going to have to get help. Hopefully not someone that works on travel trailers because they are much more expensive than regular handy men. You can through a rope over the trailer and pull a tarp over the opening and tie it off as a temporary patch. Don't get the blue ones, use the "heavy duty" ones with a silverish color. The blue ones rot in the sun within a few months. If you can patch it you may find it easier to find help you can afford during the summer.
-
I think I can do it. If I replace the vent lid it should be okay I think. I might be able to ask someone around here to get up there.
-
I watched a video on how to get on a roof from an extension ladder.

I'm up SUPER late. WAY late for me.
I get up at 5 and usually I'm in bed by 8pm. It's almost midnight. I need to hit my vintage vape. It's the same cartridge I had since way back when.
Yeah, I miss old times too. I get so attached to people and miss everyone like crazy
