Houlas are head herders. Back when we had a small herd of around thirty head we had three blue heelers. Our vet suggested we combine the heelers with houlas. Naturally he had a prized champion sire. He suggested we contact the fur parent of a champion dam out of Alpharetta that had just birthed nine. He specifically suggested the pup they called Romeo.
They separated us from $1200. We named him Perseus. We then purchased a few dams out of Louisiana and Alabama the best of which is Andromeda.
Lately I've been breeding Staffordshire Terrier into the more docile female offspring of Perseus and Andromeda. We have some amazingly chill pups that don't bark but will apply jaw force on command.
If you hear one of us make two short but loud puckered lips inward drawing kissy sounds you're going to have a half dozen dogs put teeth on you. The only sound you'll hear.
I'll keep the pure houlas for hunting.
We just bred a second generation from Andromeda, Atalanta to a friend's prized standard black poodle.
We have five pups because I wanted a small litter I only allowed her to stay with them 24 hours.
Three brindled/merle two red/white one black/white and two black with socks and a blaze.
Let's see how these work out.
