What ? A Burger ? I went now and then in the very very early 2000s. It was ok then, but not great. Since then... It went to garbage. They're all shit basically. They all got MBA'ed.

Our grandson forced us to stop at Culver's. He used logic. We were on a tight schedule. I suggested burgers at Five Guy's. He replied Culver's

1. Quicker

2. Less expensive

I ask about quality? He suggested I find out first hand.

I was favorably impressed.

It's hit and miss but mostly hit (hit 95% of the time) - and when they miss, it's still well passable. To miss, you have to go in there 15 mins before close. It's about the only fast food place I will go to.

I haven't been to 5 guys for about 12 years. I actually want to go back but I never seem to make the time as all of them are far away from me.

Culvers gets it done and it's not a rip off.

Got the butter burger with an extra patty, plain, no bun. They are always accommodating.

Another place down south that also serves burgers and custard is Freddy’s. I go there on my way to work sometimes. Same order but in occasion I’ll add a small turtle, no whip, extra cherries.

Five Guys got me for twenty-three dollars last time for a dried up shitty patty and cold fries. Never again. I like Culver's. I especially like that they serve malt vinegar for the fries. The boss did the cheese curds. She's got an appointment in the city today. We'll probably stop there for lunch. They're expensive but not as expensive as Five Guys and they blow McDonald's and Wendy's and the like out of the water. Even a Wendy's Frosty is somehow not as good as it used to be.

We got Mooya's within range here. Here's the thing - they go through periods of being off the chain epic/spectacular, but then go through periods of it sucking total ass. They seem to change their recipes entirely every couple years. You'd think it was a different chain. When they're on point, they are good though. Maybe it's just because they got illegal aliens (MExicans) working the kitchen.

Around here Culvers just seems to be the best choice - it's more than good enough, and is consistent. Good value for the money. Other thing it's not super crowded.

The place that draws all the people is Chik-fil-A. I don't necessarily mind that place, but it's too fucking crowded.

People hem and haw about IN & OUT. They're ok, but you feel like you're going to gay bingo night or something. Just feels wrong going there.
