There's sketchy neighborhoods there? Wow. Doesn't seem like that at ALL.
Drug people or something?

That's only a couple of miles from me. Kinda sketchy neighborhood. But probably not as sketchy as where you're at now... Price seems out of line, but I'm out of touch anyways.. I wonder if I know the person who lives there. They've got the place decorated pretty cool, obviously on a budget. The lots are pretty small there but much larger than you're used to. What would you do for money?
I've seen a couple of REALLY nice places for a little more. One has 5.4 acres.
Another place has three acres and is a fixer upper but is only 37k. I could almost pay half of that in cash.
Yeah - if I moved over there I would plan on doing phone support. I couldn't just move there and expect to work I don't think.
That place does NOT have central heat, which would be a problem for me. It looks to have a centrally located wall furnace and they probably supplement with electric heat. Most of these small places around here were not built with the intention of year-round living; they are summer cottages that MIGHT be used during deer season.
Sketchy might not mean the same thing to me as you... There are drug users in that area and it is generally a low income neighborhood.
Ah, okay. Good to know. I wouldn't move to a shit area into a place not made to get through winter.
This place was something I liked. Do you see any problems with this?
It seems to have a lot. Even a generac generator.
ESPECIALLY since you are certainly NOT accustomed to Northern Michigan winters. I could be wrong about that place, though. I'm going to check it out. That neighborhood is on a hillside that slopes up and away from the lake. At the top of the hill is a trailer park where the residents own their lots. At the bottom of the hill is Federal Ave which as soon as you mention it folks say... "ah, the hood". You're very close to the firehouse and within walking distance of nice Obama funded park on the lake and several watering holes and restaurants. You could do a lot worse!

Baseboard heat, very nice. Very secluded! That one's even closer to me! but further from town. I see the cable box on the side of the house so that means they have internet, which is something the agents won't tell you about unless you ask and it can be hard to get when you get out away from town. That is a nice place. My wife would gut the interior though... You will need a snow blower or hire plow service.
I like secluded and away from town. I like the 5.4 acres.
So I'm scrolling through google pics of cafe seats and I come across this...
So I clicked on the link...

Some fucker stole my picture for their eBay listing!
Hahaha!
That's cool though! That bike looks great!
I drove to both of those addresses this morning and recorded it for history!
Video is still processing. I'll check it out. Thank you for doing this!
I'm in a meeting now.
this morning while driving to work I realised I cant remember the last time I seen a paper state map for sale in businesses
They're in the corner next to the pay phone.
Sluggo, say "aboot" again! Your dialect is funny as shit! Canadian funny!
We're pretty close to Canaduh! The closer you get the worse the dialect. I don't hear it.
They really haven't said.
Pretty sure that means "we're going to came through, cut every tree down, leave the mess and there's nothing you can do about it."
Or maybe they will clean up the mess by selling your trees and not giving you any money (or much) back.
That sucks...

I watched a few minutes of this and then I lost internet connection. I'm at a place called Topanga canyon. I just wanted you to know that I think this is the coolest thing ever! Just driving around your neighborhood like that. Thank you for doing this! I only got to see it up to the point where you pulled up into the first house. And that house has 5.4 acres.
I can't wait to see the rest of it!
