Almost forgot....I work at home. Mary works at a real job....not that my job isn't real.

So far she's had to get two Covid tests because of other people coming down with Covid. The test hurts like hell. I know because the last time I had to get one with her.

Its like they stick a stick up your nose into your brain. She works around people that thought the whole thing was a hoax so it took several people dying to get their attention.

The last on was in her office for an hour telling her how much he feared getting Covid. The next day he was care flight-ed to Ft Worth and died a week later. He was on the Board of Directors where she works.

This guy lives in a different world. Yes he's funny. But the subject is what it is .... because of the economy. Poor people can't afford to get married. And the young are usually poor. They hookup because it take two low paying jobs just to have a one bedroom apartment.

"Overall, an estimated 299,028 excess deaths occurred from late January through October 3, 2020, with 198,081 (66%) excess deaths attributed to COVID-19. The largest percentage increases were seen among adults aged 25–44 years and among Hispanic or Latino persons."

October November December Janurary and now the number is 399,000 deaths from Covid.

If a person gets Covid and then dies but never had a test how are they counted?

If your mandate is "only count deaths where there is a test" your number is going to be lower. Its easy to believe that as many as half of the Covid deaths didn't get tested.

My numbers came from the New York Times that started keeping numbers from counties when the last administration and some states started withholding numbers.

Now we can argue over the numbers BUT beyond a shadow of a doubt Trump publicly stated that he wanted us to stop keeping numbers.

This argument has nothing to do with actual science and everything to do with who you believe and why you believe them. If you don't trust msm or any media all you have to do is actually listen to what Trump actually said and says to understand why we are in the position we are in.

Your math is off GG. If you divide 24,000,000 by 100 (to get 1%) you get 240,000. thats close to half the number of dead or 400,000 right now. 1.8% is about right. (Thank you RS.)

Now there are 330,000,000 people in the US. Divided by 24,000,000 (the number of cases you quoted) you get 13.75. So if you are generous and cut this number in half, lets say 7, you are looking at 7 years of this pandemic at the current rate of infection and death. The point is that without a vaccine we are looking at years of pandemic if not decades....decades?....yes. The way this works is the more infected people the more likely a mutation will come along that will be worse and the current vaccine won't stop.

You know me. I'm not a "believe the experts" kind of guy. I call every situation like I see it. Mary and I spent considerable time talking about what we would do when the vaccine became available. We decided we would take it.

Do I think everyone that decides not to take the vaccine is stupid? No. Its a hard call for us all. BUT bad data is not the right way to decide.
