Who is most likely to take Putin's place?

Dmitry Medvedev is a likely choice. He's supporting the team right now but if he were the boss I think he would change his tune in a hurry.

Medvedev was then appointed by Putin as prime minister. He resigned along with the rest of the government on 15 January 2020 to allow Putin to make sweeping constitutional changes; he was succeeded by Mikhail Mishustin on 16 January 2020.

Thanks for that. That makes a lot of sense :)

I agree with this. If it's true for you because your gut tells you it's true then you use reason to decide, am I going to whine about the things I don't like about the truth....suffering....or are you going to go with it and have faith that it will all work out.

A different perspective from the UK.

Sorry if I dissect you piece by piece. LOL.

"It's amazing to study cultures that use plant medicines to activate larger portions of their neo-cortex and discover that they generally lack, as part of their cultural identity, the overall arrogance "orthodox theistic " cultures carry. I would include the western scientific community in the latter...as they have evolved into one of the most devoutly religious groups when it comes to defending their 'higher truth concept/s'."

Part of this reminds me of something.

Take the finest spices: of liquid myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, two hundred and fifty, and of aromatic cane two hundred and fifty. (Exodus 30:23, RSV)

This is the formula of the anointing oil used in the Bible. "qaneh bosem" is the Hebrew words that are translated "Aromatic cane". Now this plant is not used today because it contains a know carcinogen. So to me it is unlikely that this is an accurate translation. "qaneh bosem" can also be translated "cannabis". That would make much more sense. Here's a link. The information isn't just from one source but this is a clear rendering.

GS, plenty of people have wondered about this but this is a particularly good example. It's clear and well said. When Moses climbed the mountain he said a lot of similar things. Job said a lot of similar things, by the way Job was the first book that was written, long before Genesis.

Job didn't have any choice, what happened happened. He grieved for his children, he endured a lot of pain, he complained bitterly. His wife was no help, she just kept saying "Curse God and die!" At the end he had his stuff restored, twice as much except for children. He got the same number because the other children were still alive in the spirit. God chewed him out, "Where were you when I created the world?"

Moses had a worse fate. He asked hard questions and God put him in charge of fixing the complaints. I am careful about the questions I ask God because I don't want to be put in charge of anything.

Suffering is real, it's not a dramatic play put on to fool us. The Roman Catholics have a teaching about "enjoying our suffering" I reject that totally. When I have something I don't understand and I can't seem to get and answer or I'll be honest are afraid to ask. I put it on a shelf in my mind and I say "Someday I will understand." and I go on.

When I was 20 my shelves were full. Now not so full.

Whether you believe in God or not, the is no proof either way.

If one believes there is a God, that is solely a faith based belief.

If one believes there is no God, that is solely a faith based belief.

People can spend their whole lives just believing and never experiencing tangible proof. Jesus said those that believe without seeing are blessed. He wasn't just talking to Thomas, He was talking to all of them. The truth is also that those that get to see are just as blessed.

God hides Himself and why I don't know. He is not a computer, He is a person. He is not a man but a part of Him became a man. So we have common ground. When God reveals Himself to you, its all the proof you need.

Wow, there is so much there. I may have to read this several times to absorber all of it. Please don't think I'm complaining. What you say is rich and takes me a while to digest.

My first impressions are that you write in the Spirit. Inspired means that God breaths into you. It confirms what I already know. We don't have to know everything to know

what we need to know. My father told me "A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument."

"experiential religion based upon revelation" This is the foundation of my belief system. I have classical Christian beliefs but without my experiences they are lifeless.

It takes both beliefs and experiences and more. You have to pursue God and you have to be confronted by God. He has to revel Himself to you. But you have to ask Him to.

I will have more to say to you about what you have written.

This video is real, not CGI. Boston Dynnamics (Boston Robotics was a fake but it made the point better.) BD was sold to the South Koreans. No body cared, why? Really old stuff.

LOL you mean like how the Ukraines are giving civilians ak? LOL you are funny .

    1. Snipers are not going to use AKs. When you are fighting a guerilla war snipers are good to have.

    2. The weapons being sent are full auto military weapons. It's what is available in quantity. If you have one of those here...even the parts, you are going to prison.

    3. There are technologies that make soldiers with AKs obsolete. Watch Boston Robotics

    videos.

    4. We had hundreds of F117s and pilots for years before the public knew about them. Even other AF pilots didn't know. I assure you there are warehouses full of robots that can track you down and recognize an assault weapon as we speak.

If you can see it on Youtube its way old. This is not real but they are real.

I followed Kerry Cassidy of Project Camelot and I have most likely seen the stuff but it will be good to see it again. Thanks for posting it.

    I agree.

"Some kind of Event Horizon" is a good way of saying it. The pentagon releasing tictac videos and acting like they don't know what it is. LOL!

People should be hung for that bill. Why you may ask, back door registry.

Well hanging might be a little harsh. :) But the Brady Bill was a misguided reaction that irritated people and didn't change anything about gun violence. The other side is the false idea that if you have an assault rifle that you are somehow safer from the government oppression. Or worse that you could win a civil war. When they call in the Texas Rangers sharp shooters they have the same style dear rifle my other grandad had a million years ago.

I won't block you wayne5. I think a different perspective is good even though we have a bit different political opinions. Hopefully you at least support the 2nd amendment. Discourse is good because none of us knows it all and there are little pearls that can be gleaned sometimes with the sharing of ideas, thoughts and opinions. Politically we the people were never supposed to be so divided and aligned as some of the people are today. We the people only really benefit when we are free enough to think with our own mind sand freely discuss those ideas. Instead politics is spoon fed these days to the masses who consume and parrot talking points which they cannot even rationally defend logically if presented with the task.

I appreciate your posts and your contribution here Wayne5, even when we don't agree.

I really appreciate all of your kind words. And about the 2nd amendment, I live in Texas. EVERYONE has at least one gun. Like I have said before. You could take over a South American country just with the guns owned by Liberal Democrats here. When Beto said that I thought he'd lost his mind. I think he was just trolling....I hope.

The United States was a net total energy exporter in 2019 and 2020

Up to the early 1950s, the United States imported relatively small amounts of energy.1 In the mid-1950s, the United States began to import greater amounts of crude oil and petroleum products (such as gasoline and distillate fuels) to fill the gap between petroleum consumption and domestic production.

Total U.S. annual primary energy net imports (imports minus exports) generally increased in most years since the mid-1950s and reached a record high in 2005, equal to about 30% of total U.S. energy consumption. Since 2005, total annual energy imports have decreased and total energy exports have increased. The United States became a net total energy exporter in 2019 for the first time since 1952 and maintained that position in 2020 even though both total energy production and consumption were lower in 2020 than in 2019. Total U.S. energy exports exceeded total energy imports by 3.46 quadrillion British thermal units (quads) in 2020, the largest margin on record. U.S. energy exports in 2020 totaled 23.47 quads, and energy imports fell 13% to 20.0 quads, the lowest level since 1992.

Wasn't that because of the increase in conversion from oil and coal to natural gas?

I know gas wells were poppin up everywhere.

"Success in natural gas came first. From 2005, U.S. natural gas production rose for 10 straight years. The previous production record set in 1973 was obliterated as production grew 50% from 2005 to 2015 to reach 27 Tcf. In the process, the U.S. became the world's largest natural gas producer.

There is a simple reason for the surge: fracking. Horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques spurred a historic U.S. production boom during the decade that has driven down consumer prices, buoyed the national economy and reshaped geopolitics."

Somewhere after 2015 there was so much Natural Gas that the price dropped so low that all the new drilling stopped. That made Coal uneconomical for new power generation and they have been living on the old power generators ever sense.

A war with Russia would make the NG industry happy....if we survive.
