I never considered this... Hydrolock, huh. I bet he was assembling it with an air wrench. Also, I would consider a bolthole that close to the edge of the casting to be a design flaw.
JB Weld and see if it holds.

I had Magical Mystery Tour on cassette, have no idea wtf you're on about
The US MMT was as much a compilation as film soundtrack, with the six songs from the film plus all of that year's singles and their flips. While you got more songs on the US release, part of an album (used to be) is the packaging, and the way the UK release was put together was pretty cool.

If you crank this (and it should be played cranked) you can hear the street outside...
Symphony No. 5 in C minor Op. 67: I. Allegro con brio – Philadelphia Orchestra/Riccardo MutiOn Amazon Musicmusic.amazon.com -
Holy shit you've got me over here listening to classical music.
This was the guy. And it's the Philadelphia Orchestra. Probably recorded in Philly. Still sounds fucking great.

I had a boxed set of Beethoven’s symphonies in college and a while after. I don’t know when/where we parted company. Bought that on a whim, out of curiosity. Played them quite a bit The guy knew what he was doing.
I had a box set of Beethoven too. I bought it because it was a binaural DDD (remember when they put the recording process in a code on the jewel pack?) and it sounded absolutely fantastic. It was recorded in one of those big cathedrals in Europe and the natural reverb and tone of the room was just perfect. You could also hear traffic on the road outside. Man I wonder what happened to that??

No. You didn't. This is an original 1967 double EP. The gatefold is the front and back cover of the booklet. I've wanted one of these for at least twenty years.

I splurged on a nice set of Fender locking tuners for a neck that I've got that I'm going to put on my Jazzmaster while I get it's neck worked on. They got delivered today and when I went to pick up the padded envelope that they came in I found that it was empty. There was a hole in the bottom of it and there was nothing in it. Somehow the delivery person didn't notice that it was empty... I'm sure the package of tuners is rolling around on the floor of her car right now. It's a bitch for Amazon because they send their delivery driver eighty miles up here to deliver to me. Now she'll have to come back tomorrow. I guess they'll lose money on this one. I honestly don't know how they make any money from me while sending a driver eighty miles in their pov. Must be some crazy logic behind it...
