I've been a little curious about these lately, have you had any issues that would suggest they could be a tinkerer's bike (read shitheap)
So far I have about 9000 miles on it with no issues. They suggest adjusting the valves every 3000 miles but the dealer mechanic says it can be stretched to 6000, which is the regimen I’m following. I haven’t had to do any work on it other than that.
I added the little fly screen, the cowl over the rear seat, and changed out the enormous/heavy mufflers for smaller ones with removable baffles. I currently run it unbaffled. I tend to shift by sound/feel instead of watching the tach so I wanted it louder.

I had a twin cam years ago. Engine wasn’t bad. The rest of the bike’s quality was terrible. That’s pretty much the issue with the 91 I have now. The EVO engine isn’t bad. I’ve just about completely replaced the wiring and charging system in this damn thing, and it still has gremlins.
My younger brother has a new one with the Milwaukee-Eight V-twin and it’s been in the shop 3 times for warranty repairs in less than a year.

Important to note that it wasn't the keel that did the punishment, but the barnacles attached to the keel that did.
That and the fact the would set off a cannon (with no shot in it) as you were lowered in front of of the gun port.

Compared to the bug looks of many other ADVs... it is goodlooking. Ride one... it's a fantastic ride.
I’m not a fan of Harley. I already own a 91 Ultra Classic because that’s what the wife wanted for when we ride together. Damn thing is a headache, and it’s still by and far better than their new cruisers. I can’t imagine a bike they really have zero experience with building is going to be any good when they can’t even make good versions of the bikes they have been building for 60 years almost unchanged.

I think my next newer bike will be one of these. Kawasaki z900rs Cafe.
I don’t think I could ever make the jump to one of the fully faired sport bikes. This is about as close to that as I can get.

People have a tendency to be a lot more aggressive if they are anonymous.
Most Swat teams use masks. Your regular traffic cop or beat cop doesn’t really have a reason to mask up.

An adventure bike would absolutely be the best choice for northern Michigan. And I'm fighting it because I think that they're ugly bikes, HA! But man, to be able to take one down the road and then zip out into the woods and just go, that's, that would be the absolute best bike for this area right here.
That Harley adventure bike is one of the ugliest I have ever seen.

This is my newest bike a 2023 Royal Enfield Continental 650 GT
It’s not super fast or powerful, but it’s very fun to ride. Built surprisingly well considering where it was manufactured. It’s just about on par with Japanese quality.

I think they need to be identifiable and accountable. They should have EXTRA special training on civil rights.
The doxxing part is a real problem though. The people of this country have shown that the aren’t above retaliating against someone’s family. Which just isn’t right. You know damn well that even if the agents were doing things 100% right, the people that disagree with their mandate would harm them or their families anyway.

I have been building a 74 Kawasaki S3 400 from a bare frame and parts sourced from eBay. Just have the engine left and it looks like I’ll be putting one from an S2 350 in it. I haven’t been able to find an 400cc engine, but found a good 350. Actually has more power than the 400 anyway the cooling fins just look a little different. The rest of the bike is pretty much identical.
