The bike I recently purchased is a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. It’s not a fast bike, but I think I have more fun riding it than any I’ve had before. I’ve been looking at Royal Enfield bikes for years but had concerns about quality, and the fact that they only came with a single cylinder 350cc motor. A few years back they got a new CEO who actually rides their product on a daily basis. He has done great things for the company, and the 650 twin is one of them. Their overall build quality and reliability is quite good now. Surprisingly good considering they are built in India. The only modifications so far is the cowl over the rear seat and changed the huge/heavy/quiet stock mufflers out for some much lighter ones with a better sound.

That's a squirrelly scooter. Hella quick.
My first bike was an S3 and it was quick for its small displacement. I aspire to own an H2 750 one day. That’s the real squirrelly one.

Is it the 4 cylinder or twin? They did both in the 400
2 stroke triple

Looking good! Your garage doesn't look any worse than mine. Where's yer cutoff wheel?
it’s hanging where it’s supposed to for a change.

Here’s something I’ve been working on the past few months. A 1974 Kawasaki S3 400. I started with a bare frame and have been assembling it from parts sourced from eBay and FB marketplace. It’s almost complete. I’m currently getting an engine ready for it. It’s not the right engine as I’m having trouble finding the correct 400cc engine. So it will have a 350cc engine from a 74 S2. Interesting fact, the 350cc motor makes more power so I may just keep it that way. Also need to finish the paintwork on the tank. Yes my garage is a disaster. Deal with it.

I’ve been wanting to participate in this yearly ride for awhile, but either didn’t have the time or the right style of bike. This year I have both. If any of y’all would like to sponsor me it’s greatly appreciated. Just click the link below.
Here’s the generic sales pitch:
On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
Here’s the bike:

Meh, lost another $10k yesterday
Is your portfolio worth less than your initial investment? If not you haven’t lost a thing. He’ll even if it does go below your initial investment you still haven’t lost anything unless you decide to cash out.

It seems about 50% of Americans would rather have cheap TVs at WalMart than have manufacturing come back to the US. Go figure.
I doubt much can be done to bring manufacturing back here. Young folks just don’t want those types of jobs. Corporations aren’t willing to pay a decent wage for them either. Even if they did, the labor cost would cancel out any savings avoiding a tariff would make.

Idiots that participate in the legalized gambling that is the stock market deserve what they get.
None of the rises and fall in the market are based in any sort of reality. Just the fears of men. The whole fucking thing is retarded.

Cruise was fantastic in it. Say what you want about him, but his portrayal of the David Ames character will one day become known as his crowning achievement.
I don’t know about that. The film doesn’t have a big following today. To most people it’s a forgettable, weird film they don’t understand. It has terrible reviews (granted critics usually hate everything) and audiences graded it a D-. I liked Jason Lee and Kurt Russel’s characters better.

Yup. I've seen Open Your Eyes. I really like Vanilla Sky better. I know all of the cool people prefer the original.
I’ve never actually seen the original, so I can’t compare them
-
I’ve always liked it. Would have been better with anyone else besides Tom Cruise.
Btw it’s a remake of a Spanish film called “Open your eyes” and Penelope Cruz plays the same role in the original.
