It can feel a little grindy at times but id say its pretty fun overall. You start with gear and weapons that are able to compete with others. It doenst really seem pay to win to me. Obviously you can get better stuff for money but 90 percent of my things are free. I bought the engineer squad they had on special cause i wanted to be able to build stuff. Crowd is what i would call relaxed gamer. They want to win and have some strategy but its not a super hard core group running around dominating all the time. If you guys check it out look me up.

Any you guys try this out. I like it. ran into it on steam. its a ww2 era first person shooter with lots of diff units to play. Free to play but many different ways to spend money. I bought one unit and have been happy just running along the research tree so far. I seem to remember several people on her playing heroes and generals back in the day. Kind of reminds me of the battle side of the game.

Just downloaded the extended version. Hope to get a chance to watch soon

Ive been having the same thoughts about how bad movies have been in the last 10 years or so. I have have been actively searching for good movies from the 60's and 70's to watch. Rewatching some old favorites and discovering some new stuff. Just watched Sometimes a great Notion with Paul Newman. Def not the best of the stuff from that era but dam it was so much better than anything Ive seen come out lately. Whats some of your guys go to from that era that arent the obvious? Always interested in discovering new gems.

Let me know how your 9070xt is for you Hawker. I obviously love the one I got, and it's one of the lower tier variants, so yours will be even faster.
I frequently meet cool people in the PC store I've been a customer at since the late 90s in Calgary. I taught the owner and his brother their firearms safety courses and got them their pewpew licenses back in 2003-ish, so they have always been cool with me. So many local gamers and power users just seem to be in their physical shop whenever I'm there, and I too always have good convos with many of them.
20tb, that's HUGE. I'm in the process of setting up a better NAS, and wondering if I should go that big or just stick with the 2 8gb NAS drives I have.
Card has been awesome so far. The new Indiana jones game looks like watching a movie. Highly recommend it if you like the movie series and enjoy stealth games with puzzles. Warning though it is heavy on the stealth you cant punch and shoot your way through a situation. If that's what you like you will hate this game, I think I'm gonna pick up the star wars rogue game next time it goes on sale on steam. I did end up getting another 32 gig of ram at your suggestion. Havent seen a difference yet but haven't gotten into DCS yet either. Im really hoping to run a ve setup eventually there.

nice build there. I ended up getting a 9070 xt overclocked hellhound on drop day. Micro center here in Denver had a ton of them just had to wait in line for about an hour winding through the store. 2 guys next to me were nice and we had a good conversation so I didn't mind. Just getting everything up and running. I had to go back today and grab a few things to finish up and just asked what they think about he supply and they said they expect a lot more soon so hopefully you can grab one. Ill get some more ram, thanks for the tip. Im thinking about trying out a vr setup for dcs. As soon at the 20 tb hd is done formatting Im gonna grab the new Indiana Jones.

I bought an Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING mobo a couple years ago, than bought a AMD Ryzen 5 3600, have been happy with it. NOW I find out the 3600 isn't on the Win 11 list. (The 3600X is, and a couple other 3600's....shit)
That sucks. This is what is gonna push me over the edge to build a new box. My hardware is no where near being on the windows 11 list. I also want to be able to play the new Indiana Jones game on steam. Having great memories of growing up with those movies is def another factor.

So im going to be doing a new build and wanted to see if any of you techies have advice. My last one I built in 2016 is still kicking and is just now starting to not be able to keep up with new games. I would like to do a high end build that would last for another 9 years. I have a microcenter near me and they have intel and amd bundles available. I have always used Intel processors so I don't know much about the new generation of amd stuff.
This is a link to the intel bundles Amazing Intel Bundle Deals | Micro Center

I have been eyeing the intel one that is an I7 14700 with mobo and 32 gig of ram for 499. Pairing that with one of the new amd 9070 xt cards that comes out on the 6th.
I don't really know anything about the amd ryzen series so I'm not sure what is even comparable or better than that in those bundles.
So help me spend some hard earned dollars. What should I buy and why?

they just went full release and have put it on sale. New update looks great and I'm planning on spending some time on it soon when things slow down around here. You can grab it for less than 9 bucks until Aug 16th.
-
if you put it in your wishlist it will email you when it goes on sale again, though honestly 29 bucks is still worth it for the hours you will get out of it if you like sub sims
-
this is a good game if you like simulation stuff. You can dial it up or down depending on how in depth you want to get. I have owned it since it first went early access and still come back to mess around with it. Def worth 10 bucks.

bubonic plague is actually pretty common out west here. Prairie dogs carry it. Someone ends up in the hospital with it every few years and the news goes batshit cause it makes a great scare headline

I'm ordering 25 gauge 1-in from Amazon
i just looked at mine are 23 gauge by 1 inch and work great. I ordered a box of 16 gauge just needles to draw up the meds from amazon as well. Been using them almost a year. I would grab something like that as well. Very tough to draw anything up in a 25 gauge and they will dull going through the topper
-
gman has good advice. I would add look on amazon for needles. I ended up buying a couple years worth for less than half what the pharmacy was charging. They label them as animal use only but they are the same ones. Come in big box individually wrapped and sterilized. Look for the label sterilized with ethylene oxide. Try to inject with the short side of the needle up towards you. Penetrates better especially when you are new to injections its easy to go straight in. Dont pinch the muscles together. Spread them with your fingers. It loosens the muscle fiber and makes the needle go in with less discomfort. Try to find a comfortable postion that will let the muscle not be tense. 18 is not huge to inject with but if you can get a 22 or so it will be nicer for a beginner. Use 2 different needles, 1 to draw up and 1 to inject. Its amazing how much that rubber plug can dull a needle and make it more unpleasant. As with anything after you get some exp it really is easy. I use this method at work as well and alway get asked how i did it without it hurting because most medical professionals are terrible at injections.
