Things Can Be Replaced, People Can't

  • I started this thread so as to not shit on Shuckin's.

I lost my grandfather twenty-one years ago. All I have left of him is the hat he wore when he worked in the yard, a broken battery charger, his copy of Contrails and this headset he pulled off a dead guy in a ball turret. If I lost these things it would be like losing him all over again. As well the feeling of letting him down over the things that he entrusted me with.

So fuck you beej, no one asked for a fucking finger wagging lecture.

  • My grandfather lives. Every day at 0942 I say the names of my departed loved and that of Elmer Charles Bigelow. I have some of his stuff. The best of it are my education, genetics and my memory.

Last week I added one more name.

I'm not certain I want membership in a club with standards so low as to allow me membership.

  • Nice finger wagging lecture.
