  • FYI, I talked to him the other day for a good hour or so. His current hobby is nickel-plating his black powder pistols. On sad note, his daughter (the welder) has cancer, had double mastectomy, I would assume outlook is grim. He said his brother Bart ALSO has some variety cancer, but he isn't bothering to see any more doctors about it. Fucking cancer, just guy back from visiting my dying friend in Dayton yesterday

  • A friend was diagnosed. Said no to all treatment except palliative care at the very end.

Died peacefully and with great dignity.

Tell him it can be beaten. My wife had breast cancer, a double mastectomy, and chemo-therapy. She is now 12 years out and still doing well.

  • He had lung cancer a couple years ago, they took out a chunk, he's been taking chemo pills ever since. One day at work, he started having trouble controlling his right foot. Turns out cancer had come back, inSIDE his spinal column, and had moved to his brain via spinal fluid (hence the foot) They're doing tons of radiation, it IS shrinking a bit. They have a corner of the yard where they bury their dogs as they pass away, that's where he wants his ashes buried
