What's your favorite thing to make for family, and friends? I like to make cubed steak... I guess it's one of my better dishes. Mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. Yummmmm now I'm hungry.
Favorite meal to prepare for others?

I’d have to say a traditional Thanksgiving day meal. I’ve made them every year for over 33 years, so I got it down pat.

Or Mac N Cheese with tavern ham chucks all in it

I don't really cook for others, but I make a mean roast beef. Stews, chicken soup. I always take stuff like that over to my dad when I make it.

Well for a crowd... good old char grill BBQ
when numbers are smaller... I would make a slow roasted porkbelly .. braised in fennel infused milk
Or slow cooked lamb shank with a red wine reduction over top of creamy mashed spuds....

Yeah, you're right about that. Nothing beats a BBQ - even if it's just hamburgers and hotdogs. Has to be charcoal though!

What about dessert?
Usually I eat a second helping for desert! I'm not big on sweets, but dark chocolate brownies, or apple bread. You?

So, Iv'e discovered creamed salmon toast.
Being that where I'm from creamed chipped beef gravy is a BIG deal... lol Now, where I'm at I can never find chipped beef at the store ever. One year I brought a whole tiny suitcase of chipped beef through the airport, and froze it. We had enough for a whole year.
We haven't had any since then... it's been a few years now.
I miss it soooooooooo bad. I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I followed the same recipe, but substituted flaked salmon instead of the beef. It's so fricken good! Totally different flavor of course, but it's different in a good way... Yum.
I only discovered this a couple weeks ago... It is definitely a new favorite.
I love accidental discoveries... Nom Nom Yum!
