But there aren't any. For a bunch of people crying about inflation and an uncertain future, you sure are spending a lot of money on frivolous shit.

Yup hipster

Those things must be very expensive to drop. UNLIKE a v-twin, whose motor doesn't stick out like those 4-across beasties
-
Yup hipster
The proportions are all wrong.

Why would anyone ever *drop* a motorcycle?? Is this something you do a lot?

perish the thought.

I dropped my VTX-1800 on the day I decided to sell it. My pristine VTX-1800.
Decided to wash it and take it on one last little ride to Lake Pleasant.
I brought my good camera and was tolling around the lake and came upon a groups of kids in a circle around something in the road. They had a rattlesnake and were messing with it - poking it with sticks or trying to kill it.
I put the bike on the stand and walked toward them with my camera. Took about 5 steps and heard the bike crash down. I'd parked it on a slight incline and it moved and fell over. Embarrassing as hell.
The kids helped me pick it up. That was one heavy bike.
I was so mad at myself.
Another time when I was in my early 20's I was stopped on my freshly painted old sportster at a red light, waiting to turn right. As I started to roll a lady in the lifted truck behind me smashed into me and knocked me into the intersection. Bike on pavement.
Another time. 18 years old, on my mint Kawasaki TD 750, I stopped at the end of my street on some dry dirt. There was mud underneath and the bike went flying out from under me. Picked up the bike, started it and oil was shooting out of a broken bolt in the motor like a fountain.
I was so mad at myself!

80 hp is plenty of power. Additional the added bulk for the increased hp isn't appealing to me.
Were you able to hold that up?
-
Me? yes. But I could not pick up that VTX. Maybe because of the incline it was on, I'm not sure.
