One of my dogs sleeps with his tongue out and it's a long tongue. He also sleeps soundly and I think he dreams.
I pulled his tongue and had it out pretty far. He awoke startled. he bit me pretty hard. When he realized what he did it was like he was apologetic.
Now I pull his tongue and he puts up with it.
Poor guy.
