Ukraine is on a 1-way street to a loss, eventually they won't have anymore young men to throw into the fight, while Russia has many more young men to throw away, (and seemingly an endless amount of money) and they don't care how many they lose

It's worth it and the right decision to help Ukraine..
If we did nothing ( like after Crimea) then we would be completely at the mercy of Russia's attempted nuclear blackmail.
Russia would have been much stronger and MUCH more likely to go after other countries
I can't believe that otherwise intelligent people do not get it. As if history teaches nothing.
Pay now or pay MUCH more later.
We are also buying time to build our capabilities. And so is Europe.
It's a wake up call that we didn't miss, thankfully.

LMAO here read this.... they are trying sooooo hard.
Ukraine military draft age lowered to boost fighting force | Ukraine | The Guardian
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has signed a bill to lower the minimum conscription age from 27 to 25 as the country’s forces, outnumbered and outgunned by Russia, have been forced on the defensive after a failed summer assault and with widespread fatigue at the front and in society at large.

you don't think they're trying?
Wouldn't it be a waste to start drafting a bunch of men that they can't even equip?

That was a given either way. The amount of money actually spent vs what is being spent rebooting our readiness is far less than the hundreds of billions wastefully spent other places like flying hundreds of thousands of illegals into the country.
Of all the shit we mortgage off our future for, this is one of the least worst and actually has a good roi when you look at how much defense money is flowing in for US gear globally. How much new money do you think is coming in from global orders for F-35's alone?

You draft every fit fighting age male you can and immediately start training. You can find photos of ww1 and 2 soldiers using wooden weapons and the like to learn the basics. It’s a fucking war isn’t it ? You don’t halfass things .

To quote senator John Kennedy: "Biden is living proof that you're never too old to suck."
-
You dont know the situation. I would say that there's a lot consider. One is public support for the war.
And by the way, even if you Ukraine loses this is the right thing to have done. Puts Russia in a position of knowing that they're going to be set back for a decade trying this kind of bullshit.

Did you read the entire piece G?

no. I will.

Ahh yes military industrial complex welfare. Send tax dollars over there so they can buy shit here.
-
the military is probably the most important thing we spend money on. We have to keep the industries going, otherwise we're fucked.

If you look at all the shit being bought by dozens of countries you would see that is an oversimplification.
What I'm pointing out is the situation is what it is. Fiscally, it's not as bad as you think given the foreign sales and the majority of the money spent on rebuilding US defense under the name of support for UA.
The US political and fiscal trainwreck is what it is.

They're training in NATO countries. There's X amount of facilities, you can't just dump 2 million conscripts into it.

and I think we should ship tons of gear, but restocking a lot of it is really questionable government handouts. Suicide drones make a lot of it look antiquated.

But if it's antiquated why not give it to them? What are we going to use it for? It's just going to dry rot over here.
None of this is bad in my opinion.
If we would have done nothing then we would have cowed to Russian bullying and nuclear blackmail. Which is exactly what they counted on. And they counted wrong.

Here is one example among many of how the "Ukraine" money is mostly being spent.
US Army to receive one new M2A4E1 Bradley for every older model Bradley sent to Ukraine

Here is an example of some of the stuff we are or should be sending.
US House Representative Joe Wilson called for the transfer of more cluster munition to Ukraine.
"We have surpluses that need to be destroyed. I know a way to destroy them, and that is to send them to the people of Ukraine," he said.https://t.co/dYbWUzhX0X pic.twitter.com/qqJfcihY7g
