In the 90s before cameras were available thing we had cameras in the shop. By the time of dialup we had ip cameras and dvrs well concealed.

When talented Cubans started showing up we hired a few. Some worked out. One guy was brazen. He would come in and casually take aluminum stock and cut pieces about four feet long.

I listen to literally everything that Victor Davis Hansen does. He talked about what goes on near his home. He put up a shed on his 42 acres in 1980, when it was still agricultural as it was farm.. What that meant is there was no record of it with the county, which came into play when he spent a year and a half trying to get solar panels mounted to it, owing to to regulatory state in California.

The guy who came out to inspect the panels was confronted by the fact that they had no record of the shed and they made him go through the full permit process for getting the shed. Even though the need to get a permit was after he built the shed. Cost him a lot of grief
