Maynard is weird as fuck. But his description here of his process is fascinating.

I don't really know Tool. I have heard about two songs and could not tell you which ones they were, but for the last thirty+ years the very first thing that comes from almost every single person who has approached me to tell me that they like my bands is that I sound like Tool. The first band they think of.
That's funny because we began relatively at the same time. I was in 1989 and I see Tool was 1990.
As I was writing that I heard him say he has Kraftwerk on repeat in one of his cars and loves the Swans and cut his teeth on Joni Mitchell. LOL...well there ya go.
I like how he speaks of Tool as "them" and "that's their process" as if he's just a producer and not in the band.
Did this today in about 45 minutes. It's a first draft but I think it already sounds pretty good. Vocals got some energy on this one.
It's called 'Haunted'
This is my favorite kind of thing...
I've never had a guitar with P90 pick ups and was getting the itch to buy one. I didn't want to spend much, so I just bought one of these.
I put a GF P90 in my elcheapo lap steel. It's a little noisy but has a great tone.
Must be an Oz only?

Yeah Artist are an Australian brand as far as I know.

These are stacked with a push/pull volume knob for true P90 or stacked ( for all intents and purposes a humbucker )
I've never had a guitar with P90s. I'm still waiting for my Yamaha Revstar to be delivered. It wont be shipped until sometime next year. I think after that I'm good on guitars.
I reckon those Yamahas are pretty good
Yeah, they've been getting nothing but great reviews. I really like the look too. I needed one with humbuckers and I didn't want to spend money for a real less power but I think this might be better for what I want.
p90s!
Pretty guitar!
Stacked P90. The volume pots are push/pull do you can have true P90 or stacked noise canceling. They are pretty quiet as true P90 though and there is no noticeable volume difference between true and stacked.
These guys like my amp... The only thing I would do diff is to get the head rather than the combo. The combo only has a 10 inch speaker and my head mated with a 12 inch greenback is absolutely perfect. I never thought I'd like a Marshall like I like this.
