I wouldn't say that is accurate. There are complete idiots on both sides.
As far as a philosophy, progressive liberalism is what ruined this country. The ideals of liberalism are poison.
In actual practice - like in our government - elected officials and appointed officials - they're almost all criminal idiots and they're all the same.
The term liberal has been destroyed. Certain groups still think it has the same meaning as it once did, they are dupes. All one need do is read both party platforms and see where they more align, or who they disagree with less.
