KSP 2 finally on the horizon. The wait has been long. I still start up the original now and then. Build a ship, plant a flag on the Mun, and bring 'em home.

If you never played KSP why the heck not?!?
Don't wait for KSP 2, get KSP now. Very satisfying way to wile away a few hours.
Need help? Find Scott Manley on youtube.
Is it worth $25?
I'll make quick video introducing it to help you decide if it's of interest to you.
Only 330 hours played? You know you can game that number by just leaving your game open on the taskbar for weeks at a time?
Rookies...
Just made this quick video. I have to go for a bit so can't wait for it to finish processing. Should be ready to view in HD in 5 mins or so.
It doesn't look all that interesting to me.
My demo there was short and not very good. There is a lot to the game. Getting to the various planets and back is very challenging. Not for everyone of course.
What's the career stuff like?
IIRC it starts you off with a small budget and limited access to components. As you completed assigned objectives your budget is increased. As I mentioned, I didn't spend much time there. Like to create my own challenges.
Is it worth $25?
I've well and truly got my money's worth out of it

It's just a way of giving you a reason to develop stuff
On sale for 20 bucks now. This includes both the paid expansions.
I have it for the PC. Its a fun time waster. Ill play it every now and then. Putting random satellites in orbit is alight, then the "launch this thing and see how far out in space it goes" is ok also. There is a mod where you can instantly place things in orbit around planets and stars without launching them if you want to be lazy about it. They also have a very basic flying planes thing also
I have quite a few Kerbs stuck in far solar orbit with no way of getting back.
