I've been reading up on outboard vs "in the box" production and more and more pros are forgoing the analog gear. The emulators are pretty good and like one article I was reading said, every time you take the signal out and back in you take a hit on quality. Many are coming around to the idea of leaving the signal pristine and digital.

I'll have one after I finish paying for the toys I bought four years ago.

I will keep some of my outboard rack gear, but I'm totally happy with the DAW and the plugins. An eight channel control surface would be nice, though.

I totally support mixing in the box. I don't miss using any of my rack effects. As much as love my H3000 Harmonizer, the plugin sounds just as good.

Dunno.. It only clips >999 times with a peak of +7.7!

Yeah, well,
How else can one utilize all that extra dynamic range?

Pretty sure it's a video game where you're supposed to keep the bars maxed out. If you can't you're less than a man.

I'm pretty sure I know what's going on... He doesn't know how to use a limiter and his mix is quieter than his references so he bumps up the master gain to the point where it goes into protect and mutes the tracks.

Probably a joke

pretty cool!
