I think the backlash is pretty stupid though. I love that a strong message is being sent, but on a practical level I really don't give a shit about how something I buy is marketed. If I like something I'll buy it and I don't care what the "image" is.

What gets them every time is that on twitter (pre-musk especially) and tic toc, you have an incredibly relentless group of liberals who blast away woke posts non stop. It gives the impression that 90% of people in the US are woketards, but in reality it's under 20%. The 80% of "Normal" people stay quiet. Anyways, it gives a very warped view of reality.
There's a very vocal minority at the bible thumper end of the spectrum as well, it's just that TPTB are exclusively in the woketard camp, and they give zero press to them, except to point out what idiots they are.
