If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd live in Hell and rent out Texas.

I have the largest capacity Assault AC unit you can legally own in a private residence. Had all the windows redone last year (triple pane argon, whatever the fuck), all with thick composite energy efficient shutters - every last window - didn't spare any expense. I don't do half measures man. I got two backup AC units in case of failure too.
Nice and cool inside Casa Del Slam. It can be 106F outside and a refreshing 68F inside. Beet would have an emotional breakdown in here. I got a crying towel ready for him should he ever visit.

It's milder today, only 102. I think I've used around 70 gallons of liquid chlorine to keep the pool clear this summer. Time to add sail shades over it this fall.

I think we paid like 15 million for the Louisiana purchase. If we're lucky we just might be able to get all of our money back

Right now TC Mi is a cool 68°F.
I'm thinking time to become a Fire Bird.

Hard to argue with that. It must be north and to the lake.

I contend that the upper midwest is the best cheap part of Amurica. There are certainly better places, but not for the price.

I've been looking. Northern Mi has the best combination.

Rust Belt has too much of a Dresden 1945 vibe.

The short dark days and crumbling infrastructure are part of the charm.
