My House, or somewhere close by. Have not had a drop of rain in 9 weeks, so a small thunderboomer moves over and BLAM! Popped 7 breakers in the panel, yet 1 won't reset. Sigh, Electrician time.
Lightning Strikes

Swap it out yourself
-
The breaker that wont reset, whats it feed?
-
A circuit.
-
We had a lightning strike fry the contactor on the deep well pump and fry the breaker to the gate operator and main gate lights.
-
Well it fried a outside plug, and took out the AC. Of course it's a hundred degrees days when that happens. I think it fried the Honeywell controller. But the AC people are closed on Saturday, yet open on Sunday. Go figure.

The electrician is my neighbor two houses up. I'm having him install a solid state surge protector that covers the entire house. Enough of this shit. $400 installed. (Plus this trip) will be a little extra.

I'll bet that was super loud. I hope everything's okay in your house. Maybe at fried some wiring if it won't reset huh?

If you know the circuit that's tripped take a continuity tester and see if you're short between the load and neutral and also between each one and the conduit if in metallic.

Oh those are probably seventh day adventists or jehovas witnesses
-
Jehovah's Witnesses do not observe Saturday as a Sabbath. That said, most Witness business owners I know take both weekend days off and use Saturday for field service. Sunday is for worship and rest.
Seventh day Adventist is a possibility, or maybe they just think there is less competition for Sunday calls vs. Saturdays.

So they came out this afternoon. The Thermostat was toast, then found out that the motor of the fan on the outside condenser is also toast. They have me running water over the coils until Monday, when they order another fan unit , it will work like that for a few days. Dammit.
-
Dang.
-
Keep a blower like the ones used to dry wet concrete.

I had surge protectors on pretty much everything in our shop. Couple of years ago we had a close hit, it smoked everything that was hard lined into the internet. Including my computer and the backup. Fortunately a local repair shop was able to salvage 99% of our quickbooks files where all of our financials were stored.
