  • Noticeable increase in attacks on the rail line going from Crimea to Melitopol. Along with the deep strikes on C2(apparently killing Chief of Staff of Russia's 35th Combined Arms Army, Major General Sergei Goryachev) and personnel concentrations along the Azov coast.

Of the multiple axis, Velyka Novosilka has been the most successful so far. The counterattacks from Ru 60th MRB have been ineffective, Russians complain about effective use of smoke and inability to bring forth reserves. Today there were a dozen strikes on equipment running up the T0518 road (green dots) as far back as Krasna Poliana. Makarivka is technically in the gray zone but few of the RU channels claim it anymore. RU aviation is running round the clock sorties, but it does not seem to be very effective.(ukr claimed a ka52 kill, location unknown)

Half of the Ukr units involved were already on the line, notably the 129th TDF and 68th Jaeger BDEs. So Ukraine has yet to commit a large portion of their reserves for this area. Its not by coincidence that this area is at the end of Russia's longest supply lines.

    Ukr think tank CDS report:

The Defense Forces have a mobility advantage over the enemy.

Tactical-level commanders of the Defense Forces have significant autonomy in making tactical decisions, providing them with an advantage in command and control over the enemy.

The enemy redeployed the air defense to the Zaporizhzhia direction from other areas, providing opportunities for the aviation of the Defense Forces.

The Russian command is relocating up to 12,000 servicemen of the 49th Army units, unspecified units of the Marine Corps and Airborne Troops from the Kherson direction to the Zaporizhzhia direction due to the contraction of the front line after the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP dam.

The bizarre situation with Adam Delimkhanov appears to be connected to a number of outcries in Z-channels today complaining about Russian commanders concentrating infantry near the frontline. The reports seem to suggest that a HIMARS arrived at a location near Kreminna recently, killing hundreds of Russians preparing for an assault against Ukrainian positions, and Delimkhanov could be among the wounded.

Here are some excerpts from Russian channels:

    Starshe Eddy, 8:46AM:

"If by the middle of the second year of the war there are commanders who take columns to the front and concentrate all personnel in one big pile, and wait for the enemy artillery to strike, then such commanders must be shot before in front of the formation, even if they are colonels or even generals."

    Crybar, 8:52AM:

"It was near Kremennaya, a tragic incident occurred in one of the divisions that were about to go on the offensive.

For two hours people stood in a crowd in one place and waited for the division commander to say his motivating speech.

But instead of him, the HIMARS MLRS and enemy artillery had their say.

In the South Donetsk direction, in a few days there were fewer casualties in the battles than from the criminal stupidity of the division commander."

    Dva Mayora, 9:15AM

"B*tch, you shouldn't stay in a column for two hours in one place! What are you doing, father commanders? You are commanding people!

Will they prosecute bloggers again instead of the degenerates with high ranks?

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have no merit in this war. We are at war with our own stupidity and lack of care, mixed up with positive reports."

    Voyenniy Osvedomitel, 9:23AM:

"Let's add that the people responsible for this have already managed to “become famous” in other areas more than once. And not only the division commander but also his immediate superior.

However, instead of bearing responsibility, comrades degenerals continued to selflessly occupy key army positions.

The result was not long in coming. Should we expect punishment for them this time, or will it all happen again? For us, this question is, alas, rhetorical."

Some seem to point at a general related to the infamous 155th Banzai Marine Brigade which was demolished in Pavlivka last November, as the culprit of the incident. The general's name is Sukhrab Akhmedov.

    Yet more drama...

  • Two Russian 2S19 Msta-S SPGs have been destroyed what looks like precise GMLRS strikes. The SPGs were part of the Russian defense north of Novopetrykivka, and as such can be considered critical losses.

  • "Undoubtedly, the blowing of the dam is an environmental catastrophe, which, among other things, will not pass Russia by.

The threat of a large-scale enemy offensive was very great, and Kherson direction had to play an important role in this offensive.

As I wrote back in November, in that case an explosion was inevitable.

But... We miscalculated a bit, and the consequences of such an uncontrolled action will soon lead to significant territorial losses."

  • I'm still really butt hurt. I was doing contract work for a drone company drawing wing parts a decade ago. I brought up a sketch for a suicide quadrotor built to accept an RPG-7 munition, suggesting it would be ideal for all these shitty warzones drenched in Soviet weapons. They declined, no weapon systems. Stupid hippies, we'd all be sitting on several hundred million by now just from the Ukraine sales.

  • First thing Japan should do is spin up a nuclear weapons program, (be funny if yet another Tom Clancy novel prediction came true, yet again). Sell those to Taiwan, or better yet do a secret joint program with them, and then tell China once around 100 warheads have been deployed on both their nations ships, subs, aircraft, and medium range ballistic missiles. China will throw a tantrum as usual, but their ability to saber rattle and threaten other nations in their vicinity will go right out the window when they are facing a MAD scenario at last.

  • This is one of the reasons why it's hard to track Russian losses

To hide the real losses: the Russian Federation banned the publication of obituaries about those liquidated in Ukraine
