Talking to some of my friends from the states, suffering with huge medical bills despite the insurance deduction. Such a sad state of affairs. When will you people learn?

guess when all the baby boomers are dead

We're all on the conveyor. Have you met someone who fears little and certainly not death?
Probably not.
Pussy millennials. The best part of your generation ran down ass cracks and thighs.
Most of the boomers that sired you pumped skimmed milk. That explains you.

I've been saying that for a while. When the Boomers kick off (of which I'm one) the strain on the medical system will be greatly relieved.
Of course, they'll spend the fucking money elsewhere

Or you could be in GB and have a 2 year wait for an operation and die.
Such a deal.

Or you can be Canukistan
"Have you tried just killing yourself?"
Such enlightenment.

“ England’s health crisis laid bare
The narrative of a failing NHS is nothing new for anyone living in England. Everyone will have experienced either first or second-hand the frustration of not being able to get a doctor’s appointment when you need one or months-long waits for treatment referrals. Then there’s the dreaded trip to the emergency room, with a good chance you will have to wait so long you won’t be seen before you need your next two meals — and that’s if you’re lucky. “
Delays, Waiting Lists and Horror Stories Plague the NHS at 75
“This is the problem with socialized medicine. You pay your money up front and then later on the government decides how much treatment you get. They have no reason to be nice to you – you already paid them. They don’t get paid more or less based on the quality of care they give you. You can’t get a refund on taxes paid. And where else can you go? It’s a single payer system.”

Poor Jewros, not going as expected?

Funny that Mick Jagger had his heart valve replacement done in the US using the TAVR procedure.
Wonder why he didn’t just go with the NHS. Do they even offer TAVR?
Well, he’s filthy rich. He can afford the very best treatment instead of just… well…dying while waiting for an NHS appointment.
Funny thing is I’m a poor American and I can actually get the same treatment at the same place Mick got treatment.
All for a very reasonable monthly health insurance payment and a reasonable deductible.
Overall I probably pay less to the government in taxes than a Brit with similar income even after adding in my private insurance.
