The only thing I've heard Trump say about this mess is that Putin is a smart guy but invading Ukraine was a big mistake and he would've never dared do it if Trump had been president.

From what I have been reading, it seems they are more "facilitators" to push illegals across the borders of Poland and Lithuania. My guess it's mostly pysops but time will tell.

I think Hungary took very few as well, they are very anti leftist there as well. Hungary did take some from Ukraine, but I think that was it IRRC.

The Polish guys I've seen on a few different courses over the years were excellent. I've always respected Poland, and think that they got turbo screwed during and after WW2. Hell, the Polish pilots that fought with the RAF/etc were forced to return to Poland to a pretty unknown spooky outcome as the Soviets were in charge, and just as likely to execute them/gulag them as to welcome them back "home".

Seeing what a rag tag army like Ukraine did to Russia with just some Western aid in the form of limited defenses(SAM systems etc), a division or so of donated modern(20 years + old modern, hah) armor/AFV/arty, and a bunch of shoulder fired manpads/anti tank weapons, I think it's obvious that a country like Poland would smoke Russia, even on its own, let alone with allies chiming in.

What the Brits did to the Polish RAF pilots postwar was another black mark in the history of their empire. They shit on those guys. Guys that gave 110% during the BOB.
