Moscow - ask Boroda.

  • What really surprises me about UK and West in general is a how to say - a strata system. Like casts in India.

Look. I am a Soviet engineer. I can get to an Institute's Director almost kicking door open if there's a need. We, Soviet people, don't bend a hat to anyone. I shake hands with every porter or guard I know in our Institute. It's insane to me to talk to some brass-hat bending with lips up. WTF?! I stand tall, I make my vital job. And they respect me too, understanding I do something they fail to understand. They are specialists in other fields.

  • Found a pic in some old slides of our first PC, the Commodore PET, as featured in Capt Kirk's apartment in Wrath of Khan. Space Invaders was a big hit at our place. My uncle was the Western Canadian distributor for Commodore - he went on to invent the first voice mail products in the telecom industry among other things (he was VP of new product development for the phone company here in Western Canada after he sold his Commodore business).

  • I used to write in BASIC on those... I seem to remember the case cover was on hinge and it was like working on a car engine... at least I think I remember that.... They had a green CRT. Those things were tanks.

I have learned BASIC on DVK-1, a PDP-11 clone, no permanent storage, it was supposed to be on a teacher's DVK-2 with a one-side 5.25.

  • 10 DIM items(5)

    20 items(1) = "vobla"

    30 items(2) = "turnip"

    40 items(3) = "borsch"

    50 items(4) = "stale cigarette"

    60 items(5) = "vodka"

    70 RAND = INT(RND * 5) + 1

    80 IF items(RAND) = "vodka" THEN

    100 ELSE

110 PRINT "Komrade Boroda is sad"

    120 END IF

    130 END

  • You got it, chief :

C PROGRAM TO GET KOMRADE BORODA DRUNK

    C

    PROGRAM DRUNKRUSSIAN

    CHARACTER*15 ITEMS(5)

    INTEGER RAND

    C

DATA ITEMS /'vobla', 'turnip', 'borch', 'stale cigarette', 'vodka'/

    C

    CALL RANDOM_SEED

    CALL RANDOM_NUMBER(RAND)

    RAND = 1 + INT(RAND * 5)

    C

    IF (ITEMS(RAND) .EQ. 'vodka') THEN

PRINT *, 'Komrade Boroda is happy'

    ELSE

PRINT *, 'Komrade Boroda is sad'

    END IF

    C

    STOP

    END

  • Funny to say it, but your only mistake is that vobla goes with beer.

Now I usually buy East German lager from Dresden.

Stale cigarettes?! I keep Luch (Ray) cigarettes from Biysk (Altay. Ktulhu Ftagn!) tobacco factory that got closed maybe 10 years ago. You can't imagine it if you never smoked anything but weed. It gets you all through right to the temple. Good old Soviet acid-dry tobacco, 6th class.

We had cigarettes down to maybe 8th class, Pamir, with an alpinist in the mountains on a pack, nicknamed a beggar at the mountains. The only thing worse was maybe Verkhovina -Western Ukrainian tobacco, mostly wood clips and used tea, I think it was 10th class. When soldiers Pamir was 12 kopeykas a 20-pack - it was 6 kopeykas.

Our American visitors in 1989 who smoked - they liked Java or Ducat filtered - 40 kopeykas a 20-pack. Or Kosmos - 70 kopeykas. They said our tobacco was natural. Really enjoyed it.

Now we have only Western virginia flavored tobaccos. Nothing real.

  • Try to print the same 80 bit punchcard w/o upper lines, just looking at the holes to read. We have never had printed lines, What you posted is a total crap. 4 printed lines my ass.

Go read something about punch cards. We were taught to read holes without printed upper line.

0s are better suited for old 40-bit punch-cards with perforation on their sides.

  • At least I got the Turnip right.

    Elaborate please.

For me Trump is a same enemy as Biden-huyaden.

Your leadership wants to destroy Russia. Irrational tradition - while Russians assisted you in an Independence War and Civil war Russians assisted North.

Lenin was right. Capitalism lives from crisis to crisis, solving it's problems with global wars.

So now, if we're not ukrops, we are not going to get uniformed and sent to trenches.

We are about to get get burnt with thermonuclears before we understand.

Hey Asshole - it's the best thing there is out there for virtual punch cards.

I don't have any fucking punchcards - last time I saw one was like... 1993 maybe... and I haven't seen people actually using them since the 70s. I grew up with 'em though. My dad was an Engineer and wrote a lot of structural analysis programs to design bridges - so we always had stacks of 'em.

Now, I DO still have my fucking pencil and paper IBM flowcart template, so the best you'll get out of me is a flowchart sketch. But I'm pissed off now and don't feel like drawing so you can pound sand.

So FUCK OFF with your demanding never-satisfied bullshit. This isn't Sukhoi, and your name sure as fuck ain't Mikoyan.

  • And if Trump was president, you wouldn't have had a war with Ukraine. He didn't back those Globalist EU cocksuckers, and he wasn't using Ukraine as a money laundering piggy bank like the current piece of shit in the white house now.

So don't talk shit about Trump, or my beloved Free Market Capitalism. It's the European Socialists causing all the problems right now.

  • My distant Friend!

I have learned flowcharts (if we mean the same thing) in 1986. 14 years old.

My Dad was a Professor in Bridges and Tunnels. After he retired from Military.

Have you ever studied Material Resistanse?
