What really surprises me about UK and West in general is a how to say - a strata system. Like casts in India.
Look. I am a Soviet engineer. I can get to an Institute's Director almost kicking door open if there's a need. We, Soviet people, don't bend a hat to anyone. I shake hands with every porter or guard I know in our Institute. It's insane to me to talk to some brass-hat bending with lips up. WTF?! I stand tall, I make my vital job. And they respect me too, understanding I do something they fail to understand. They are specialists in other fields.
