Yep, unforgivable. Time for a divorce
Agreed.

I'm not taking their name. I'll let them flounder on their own. People will see I'm no longer a part of it. Never cared for the name anyways. You do bring up the issue of sunk cost. It's what's kept me this long.
The El Sluggo Loco Experience
Band of Quipsies.
Who needs a band? Little boxes don't go outside during breaks and get high, don't forget what key they're in....don't skip practice....
I will have a different band within two weeks. We'll concentrate on producing media. My goal will be forty videos in the next year, then gigs.
I am a semi professional music video reviewer. One of the best.
I will offer my services to review your music videos, and post my reviews in the YT comments. For a small fee.
I've found there's a point where you find yourself doing a majority of the organization and motivating. I learned the hard way that's time to pull the pin.
Sent this this morning....

Well, it’s been a week since I told Mark I was leaving. I’ve done a weeks’ worth of soul searching, praying and consultation with unaffected persons and I’ve decided there’s really no sense in going on as we have. There’s no reason to hash out reasons or frustrations, as they’ve all been expressed on numerous occasions. I don’t see why you can’t continue on and just bring you buddy Mark on full-time, either as Offbeat or as Life Theory. If he balks, fuck him; he owes you guys big time.
Well I'm sorry to hear about this and that you had to go through this. That sucks.
But you know, the one door closes thing.....
Something better is going to come of this.
You bet. I've got lots of ideas and lots of options. I'm excited.
That's good because you have all the energy and the creativity. You've got the equipment and you've got the know-how to do whatever you want.
You don't need to have people around you that don't have the same goals.
In fact that's kind of a good thing to lay out on the table when you have people. Ask them what their goals are. See if they're on the same page.
Thinking about making people sign a renewable two year contract.
It’s best to stop beating your head against the wall.
Sluggworth your attention to detail shows in your work. I have no doubt you’ll put people together and be happier with that outcome.
Best of luck putting it together.
Not unlike a marriage coming to an end "We don't want the same things"...
(Apparently ME wanting dinner on the table at SIX wasn't what SHE wanted....pffft...women)
You're the visionary. The rest are distractions.
It's very annoying when the think they know it all refuse to acquiesce to he that does.
For my part I can see them fucking up by which tools they select first.
I say nothing and grab what is needed.
Fifteen minutes later.....
Bob I think you're making the correct decisions. From what you've written in this thread and others, it's been past time to part ways. You gave it time in the hope that things would get better, but they haven't so now it's time to move on and you recognize that. It doesn't seem that you are parting as enemies, just parting ways since both sides have different goals and desires. Nothing at all wrong with that.
You'll find the right band members, I'm confident of that.
I just have one question, what am I supposed to do with the "Offbeat" shirt I bought?
It might be worth something one day...
Still my joke about the t-shirts. But I felt it was too soon.
