It turns out buying a worthless car to virtue-signal for the environment has unintended consequences.
The EV Joke
-
-
Did it never occur to the environmental twat-heads that cold weather would render ev batteries null-and-void?
-
I know people who drive EVs hundreds of miles every day with no issues.
-
They slow- charge them inside the house at night?
-
I don’t get the EV hate. Did someone tell you that you can’t buy an ICE car if you want one?
Personally, at the state of the current technology I wouldn’t get one. However, I’m open to the idea if certain issues are eventually resolved. The current battery technology is one of them.
As much as I like ICE cars (I’m up to 8 now), oil will not last forever. How long we have, who knows? environmentalists and the oil companies aren’t honest about it. I prefer that we have the EV’s here now, and the market for them will drive further innovation in their design and technology. So when the end of oil does come they will be a viable alternative. Not to mention, since this country never improves infrastructure without a reason first (always playing catch up), their existence will also drive long overdue, badly needed electrical grid improvements.

Capitalizm turns everything into a commondity to be bought and sold. EVERYTHING, including environmentalist virtue signaling. Libs should know that and they should be smart enough to not fall for it. But humans gonna do dumb shit. It's what we do.
-
I don't know. A lot of those cars got bricked in Chicago recently because of the cold. They wouldn't charge.
They can't charge when it's too cold. They have to have a certain temperature to allow them to be charged.
So you got them sitting outside they're not going to fucking charge. Lol.

Yeah, electric cars can make sense in the right application. You just gotta be smart about it. Read up on the pros and cons and consider how and in what conditioins it's gonna be used. Here in Cali (did I mention I took the forman job in California?) I know a few people who commute in electric cars. They make sense in a place that has high gas prices and barely any winter.
-
If the government and environmentalists have their way the rest of us won't have a choice in the matter. THAT'S where the hate comes from...
-
Dunno... -5 Thursday morning and there's five or six Teslas in the parking lot. One guy drives 160 miles round trip. He's done it for years without a problem. the only time he's plugged it in at work was when he drove from home to Grand Rapids then to work. He said he could probably make it but why chance it? They are GREAT in the snow too. Four wheel motors and they are HEAVY. They get great traction.

Yet you're lined up with all the other cuntservatards to suck Elmo's dick.
-
They have to stay warm in order to charge. If you need to charge it and it's freezing it won't charge.

Oh that's cool!
What part of California are you in?

I'm near that big mountain in the middle.
-
Just tell me the city dummy. I'm just curious.
Mount Whitney?
-
Sorry, it's well established that I'm not man enough to dox myself.
-
Telling us what city you live in is not doxing yourself, You weiner..
If you were close by I was going to say maybe we can meet up sometime and have a drink or something.
Don't be a pussy.
-
I'm sure I'll make it to LA eventually.
-
I can tell where you're at anyway.
-
Well then why are you asking?
