No US administration will risk losing a couple of carriers to try and save Taiwan.
That's simply not true.
It would be nearly impossible for China to take Taiwan anytime soon.
Just do a little research. Very few possible landing areas, miles of shallow water that would force them to park ships a mile or more off shore, no where near the number of ships needed ( they say the invasion would have to dwarf D-Day).
Recent war games conclude even an attempted blockade would fail.
Super unlikely that they would even think they could try it.
Also, the entire command structure has been seen major changes because of systemic corruption. Same as Russia - shitty equipment and corruption that throws much of the capability into doubt.
China is not close to being able to take Taiwan, and surely not able to fight the US.
