Pretty neat. I like staying in hotels for a couple of days at a time. I love how comfortable the beds and the pillows usually are. I love that I don't to worry about anything.

Lol. Not where I stay. Hahaha.
I'm not sure about you backwoods types though.
😅

Never had any bug problems at any hotels I've stayed at. Not even at the Airbnbs... Guess I'm lucky.

Me either.

Me either. We try for 5stars though.

This is where my trailer was when I bought it. In the desert. That's my truck in the background. Had to be 2008.
My uncle helped me get it out of there. We had to cut some trees and shrubs just to get a truck in.
When I got it to California I had the slides in and parked it in my dad's parking lot with Ziggy in it. He was barking like hell to get out and scratching at the windows/blinds. He hated to not be where I was at. Those first few days here really stressed me out because I didn't have a place to keep Ziggy and he didn't know what was going on.
On the drive to California, Ziggy never laid down. He never did on trips no matter how tired he was. So it probably wore that poor guy out.
There was a HUGE spider in the trailer. Not a tarantula but almost that size. Just sitting on the bathroom wall when I got in when the slides were still in. Almost crapped myself.

You've got the place fixed up nice.

It's a lot different now! Fist thing I did after I got it set up was get rid of those two reclining arm chairs. Then the couch

Where are you seeing the room for a washer and dryer? This is my entire area, other than a very small bathroom and my bedroom, which has about a 3 x 10 foot floor space at the end of my bed, which is for getting in and out of the room .
I'm not sure you realize how big a washer and dryer would be in that area you're looking at. Plus I have a totally different arrangement from that old picture.
-
well.. Do you want clean clothes or a place to sit down??

Put a narrow or slimline washer/dryer in the kitchen area. Or you could go even more compact and get something like this:

That picture you saw is my kitchen living room and office. Lol. The kitchen is very small. I barely have enough counter space to make a sandwich.
Plus, what are you thinking? This isn't Europe. Large capacity baby. I've seen several sets of LG or GE front loading ones and I can easily get a pair for about 700 to 800 bucks that are probably going to be really really good.
Outside is the way to go. Plus you have to have room for your clothes. So I'll just build a little thing outside and put a table outside.

In our RV we have a regular apt sized washer and drier. The rig is a 42' long full time use 5th wheel. The drier is stacked on top of the washer and both run off of regular 20 amp power. I first thought that it would take forever to dry clothes with that unit but it doesn't. The RV size all in one washer and drier do however take a long time to cycle a complete load and you can forget doing a complete set of queen or larger sheets in a load. Tiny freaking basket. The pic is our rig as we traveled. Yup the jeep was towed behind the trailer and that is a Goldwing on the back of the truck.

That's a nice road train you got there Mav. Roundabouts must be challenging...
Do you use the truck for work as well, or just this?
-
It was strictly for RV. We were fulltimeing in the RV. That was our only home for almost 14 years. That is the 3rd trailer we bought once we started in 04. Both of us were retired by June of 04 and we hit the road. Nancy's cancer made us move someday to right freaking now. We were not going to put it off any more. Money was tight the first 6 years or so, especially during the fuel crunch on 08.

Shit like cancer has that effect on getting stuff checked off on the bucket list. 14 years on the road like that sounds fantastic. The stories you must have...
