Both those guys in that thread are gone. John was a dear friend for nearly fifty years. Seeing them interacting with each within a year of both of theirs passing hit me pretty hard here today.

I've had it for a bunch of years but the truss rod is broken. I took a chance on a Chinese knock off neck. I'll have to modify it to make it work though... It's doable. Going to have a "Pea Jay" decal made for the headstock.

It began its life as a white BC Rich MX-Z that I refinished in that fake spray-on marble looking stuff. It looked neat for a while but that finish wasn't very resilient and I always hated the very "eighties" headstock shape. I sanded it (the headstock) down to bare wood and softened the corners (someone was bound to lose an eye) and refinished the body to a relic'd seafoam green "ish" but the result was very queer-like so I looked at the broken truss rod as an opportunity. I'm very happy with the body and the Maple (always preferred Maple) block inlay neck will really finish it nicely...

So she's been through a number of transformations! My first guitar was a Jackson Charvel
. 1986 or something like that. I ended up changing the neck out to a fender strat neck for some unknown reason. Lol. That turned into sort of a franken guitar and then my brother Paul ended up with it. I think he might even still have it.
