That picture is exactly what the bait looks like color-wise.
I don't understand why I can't get that same result in a lightbox with a $900 camera.
*Edit* Spelling error fixed before Sluggo showed up.

post one from the light box

The lightbox has two LED light bars in it.

No expert... I'm thinking natural light would be best? With an all white background wouldnt the contrast be exaggerated?
Having the bait in hand also shows the lvl of transparency better. I'm sure Gina will know better than I.

The kiddo needs to clean her camera lens. I thought the spots were on my monitor until I cleaned it.

Find a nice bass mount, hang the lure from its mouth, shoot it against a nice background. Have a couple other photos too, like the one in your hand, hanging in an aquarium in a bassy environment.
-
The exposure is probably reading the white background and adjusting to that and instead of the lure. There should be a setting on the camera where you can tell it where to focus the exposure.

I'll hunt the kiddo down at Best Buy and ask her about this. I'll be sure to bring a really bright light and my best German accent....ver eees dis setting? Hrrrmmmm???

You're gong to want to take it off from auto. Find a manual setting that works. Once you figure that out it should work for all of them.

I was going to start messing with the settings on the camera and see if I can find out which ones work best but the ferrets are out and Misbehavin LOVES rubber...the tripod has rubber feet.

It's a Canon Rebel T6 do you have any recommendations on settings as a starter point? I'll have to pass them on to the kiddo, it's her camera.
