Opened the fucking hatch 2 miles deep because they were beguiled by a singing siren.

The colossal squid moved to tennessee.

Maybe a colossal squid got them, or some other leviathan.

Why wouldn't that thing have an emergency locator beacon? They mandated ELTs in all transport aircraft a while back.
Pocket change to put a pinger/beacon on that thing.

I was thinking that the sub probably had a cable going all the way up to the ship for communications. Wouldn't they normally have something like that?

I would have been listening to this song as I drowned in that little tin can

I bet they are lower than whale shit now.

Oh well…when you turn dangerous shit into tourism, this is what happens.
I can’t wait for the first accident in the space tourism industry to happen. It will happen eventually. Ridiculous that it will take some rich asshole blowing up on agent or burning up on teen try to remind folks of that.
Not every endeavor is suitable for entertainment.

One of the passengers is a British Billionaire named Hamish Harding (CEO of Action Aviation in Dubai).
One of those thrill seeking billionaire douchebags. If he's really ruthless, he would have strangled the others for a little more O2 time.

Nothing but an amusement park for the rich.
-
Hamish has already done the space tourist thing. No sympathy from me - if I had a billion dollars I'd be very content to just have hot & cold running whores and a gold toilet.

Hey, at least you get to die while the only person looking out the window is the person taking a shit at the time.

I just watched the head of the coastguard rescue operation give a press conference.
After hearing about his operation, these people are not coming back. The things he was saying are like:
"we have sonar from commercial vessels looking. There are no subs or anything that could possibly get down there for a rescue on the way. This conference was from 17 hours ago.
He says they're concentration on finding them - not rescuing them. When asked, he said they do not have any kind of rescue craft that can get down there.

Well, hopefully it was a quick death.

I doubt they mentioned that in the brochure

I'll tell you what remains. Crab food. Little bits of metal. Footware
-
They don't even have a fucking camera. they can send down there to see what happened
-
If there are any ship I would risk my life to see would be something out of great event. Like Hood, Bismarck, Lexington (Cv-2), or Yamato.
Might take a pass on USS Johnson and USS Samuel B. Roberts.

What's not to understand?

I have no desire to be shot into space, dive to a depth I can’t swim up from or climb any mountain I need oxygen to survive.
