Talent only comes into play if you want to get in a space (whatever it may be) where only very very very very few people make a whole lot of money in that space, and everyone else basically makes next to nothing. A lead guitarist for a top rock band (aka The Rolling Stones) or a pro sports athlete comes to mind.
So, as long as you don't go to said spaces to make a living, you actually need no talent whatsoever to make a living. All you need to do is have a bit of discipline (which is learned by habit and repetition) and working a little harder than the average person doing the same thing.
So long as there is general demand for the work you are doing, you will make a decent living this way.
Talent is also the absolute end limit of what you are capable of. 99.999% of people are too lazy and undisciplined to ever actually run out of talent in what they do.
So Talent is generally a Fucking Excuse for not Getting Your Ass in Gear.
