Is the gay cowboy thing coming back?
-
Thinking about dusting off your collection in the attic?
-
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

Don't you mean basement?

Picked up this thing off of OfferUp yesterday. Drove out to Santa Ana which is about a 30 minute drive. The guy lived in a super nice area.
The first pic is when I first got it home before I cleaned it up.
Schecter made these guitars called the aviation series. Between 2004 and 2008.
The guy said this was an open box never played. I got there and it was looking like it had been weathered. Like the saltwater got to it. Mostly just the hardware.
So I took it apart last night and polished it up, including the frets. I also oiled the fretboard.
The thing looks fantastic! I think.
I really love the dull nickel hardware.
This is a really nice playing guitar too.
I offered him way less than he was asking for and he took it.

That's pretty cool. You should sit a B-25 model right behind it in the pic.

I remember those! That's pretty cool! Nice score!

Don't you mean basement?
I gotta ask how to know that.
Did he make you put the lotion on?

These pictures are from around 1984. When it was snowing in Phoenix. It's pretty rare to be snowing in Phoenix.
So my friend and roommate Matt woke me up and we went out into the desert in his Jeep pickup.
First picture is me hugging the snowman. I'm like 19 or 20 years old there.
My friend Matt and his Jeep. This was a brand new pickup at the time.
And this is Pinnacle peak patio. A popular restaurant up there in the foothills near where I lived. It's gone now. When I went back to Arizona the last time I drove up there to see it and it was fucking gone.
This is the place that was a real cowboy steakhouse. And their thing was they had a whole bunch of ties covering the roof and walls because if you wore a tie when you came in there they would cut it off.

My grandfather told me about a place like that that they visited when they "went out West" with their airstream. He described it just like that "a nice steakhouse where if you wore a tie they'd cut it off and staple it to the wall". There might be other places like that but he did visit one...

They're famous for that. It might have been.
It was up in the foothills of north Scottsdale. Really cool area. I'd ride my motorcycle around there. Also, Cave Creek - old west kind of bars Satisfied Frog , The Buffalo Chip, The Horny Toad and a couple more. Really cool area.

what’s up with all the negative camber on that Jeep’s front wheels?
-
Yeah, especially since I think those had a live axle.
-
probably just the picture is warped/curled up when I took a photo of it . It was up close and I'm sure the phone distorted it

Did you get a good price for it? If I remember correctly they were rather pricey back in the day.

I'd buy it even if it wasn't functional
