Here is an article from FOX5 Atlanta. It's fairly good at reporting the facts. One thing that was left out was that Doctors won't do gender change operations on people under 18 for identifying as a different sex.
Also they didn't explain the 'puberty-blockers' are used to give children time to mature and think about their condition.
A couple of years delay does not hurt them.
AND the issue of 'sexual ambiguity' isn't touched at all. My next door neighbor had a grandchild that was born with this condition. It means that at birth, the doctor doesn't know what gender the child is. They go through many operations to create genitalia. This is controversial because it usually means there is no sexual response after at the end of the process.
Parents are called upon to make hard decision they are not equipped to make. And most important, doctors usually advise that the child be constructed as female because it is easier. There are thousands of American like this today.
"Abbott cited Paxton’s opinion in a letter to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), warning that any licensed professional who has “direct contact with children” could face criminal charges for failing to report these treatments as child abuse."
