  • Here is an article from FOX5 Atlanta. It's fairly good at reporting the facts. One thing that was left out was that Doctors won't do gender change operations on people under 18 for identifying as a different sex.

Also they didn't explain the 'puberty-blockers' are used to give children time to mature and think about their condition.

A couple of years delay does not hurt them.

AND the issue of 'sexual ambiguity' isn't touched at all. My next door neighbor had a grandchild that was born with this condition. It means that at birth, the doctor doesn't know what gender the child is. They go through many operations to create genitalia. This is controversial because it usually means there is no sexual response after at the end of the process.

Parents are called upon to make hard decision they are not equipped to make. And most important, doctors usually advise that the child be constructed as female because it is easier. There are thousands of American like this today.

  • Not sure about the puberty blockers... that's some powerful stuff to be giving kids.

The vast majority of kids that experience gender dysphoria grow out of it in a year or two. For that reason I think I'm against puberty blockers. Let nature take it's course.

One of my granddaughters insisted she was a lesbian at 11 or 12, a couple of years later she had boyfriends instead of girlfriends.

  • But that's the whole reason for puberty blockers so that you don't go through an irreversible puberty. They are supposedly harmless. Once you stop taking them you will go through puberty as normal.

I’m not saying your wrong… but they said the Covid shot was safe.

I think your opinion is reasonable BUT should it be law? Should the State define it as child abuse and remove the child from the home. It's bad enough to make such a division but to have the State inject itself to the point of making you a criminal?

What’s your position on people being kick because of not being vaxxed.

It's mixed. If you work in a hospital you gotta do it. If you drive a truck it's not fair to force you to do it. My son was in two war zones and got 15vaxes in one day. He didn't have a choice. There was no controversy at the time.

Either you ar for body autonomy or not. I went though that line in 87. There wasn’t an experimental vaccine.

  • Wouldn’t that fall under a different condition than a dysphoria? If that is the case then I fail to see how it would fall under the OP.

It's a physical condition. People are born without genitals or with highly undeveloped

genitals. My neighbor's grandchild was reconstructed as a girl but she was a genetic male. They are very secretive. We think it's about 5 in 1000 births but it could be more because most people don't even want in to be in their child's records.

Under the law? That's another problem. These people a never considered. If you have a bathroom bill based on genetics where do they fit? Politicians are not scientists.

If the law doesn't make a difference then they are under the law.

  • No one seems to want to comment on 'sexual ambiguity'???

This is not a huge or common issue.

In about 1% of all births, babies have some form of ambiguous genitalia, such as a very large clitoris or very small penis. In more rare cases—between 0.1% and 0.2% of live births—genitalia is so ambiguous that medical specialists are brought in for a consultation.

I believe the latter part is what you're talking about.

If I'm understanding the article in the OP correctly, the law isn't about sexual amibiguity, it's about transgenderism.

Only if it clearly states that in the law. Anyone can confuse the two and turn the parents in. Then the family will go through hell and runs the risk of being outed. AND do the math, 330,000,000 people in the US, how many are we talking about....it adds up.

  • Whatever it is about one thing is clear: Pre-teen children should never be allowed to make life-changing decisions about anything. They are creatures who are literally incapable of responsibility.

The group that wants to win will always beat the group that wants to be left alone.
