I remember buying that album about the 3rd day it hit the record stores. My three amigos and I sat and played it through about 3 times at the first sitting. Took the rock world by storm.

what an incredible record! Totally like a shot out of a cannon.
1st track - right away - mind blown. Good Times Bad Times. That's a crazy riff.
Great album

I gave this album a listen a couple weeks ago. All the way through. And I was talking to Tim, my friend and the bass player in our band, about it.
I was saying that Yoko songs are really good on this album. Most of them. I like them. If you get over the fact that she's a witch, these songs are not bad at all. They're more edgy than John's songs are.
I mostly like the instrumentation. Not her voice of course but she's not bad. The songs are not bad.
Overall this is a great album. It's his best album in my opinion.
The production is phenomenal. It still sounds really great. Especially the drums and bass. Well really everything. Everything sounds really great on this album.
And there are elements that surprise me about it. Like the atmospheric sounds. Some of it reminds me of The Wall.

Sometimes I mention the bass playing on double fantasy to Tim. Like the style that I'm going for in a certain song. Not flashy but hitting the root notes really solidly and some little embellishments but not much. Just really great.
